The
Brave Little Toaster
Disney
DVD
- What a charming surprise!
I can't believe that this little gem isn't better known
and distributed on the big screen.
Based on a story by the sci-fi genius Thomas M. Disch,
this wonderful tale of friendship and loyalty is reminiscent
of the more popular "Toy Story" animated movies.
A group of appliances live in the summer cottage where
they await the return of a young boy they call 'The
Master.' The toaster, desk lamp, radio, electric blanket
and vacuum cleaner decide to go to the city to find
the Master. Along the way, they face danger, an assortment
of challenges and a group of jealous more modern appliances
at the city apartment. There is a wonderful escape from
the "parts" store and the wonderful voice
talents of Jon Lovits and Phil Hartman who mimics Jack
Nicholson. The disc has
a delight featurette, "The Making of The Brave
Little Toaster." This DVD is a precious gem!
