Star Trek Nemesis
Paramount Home Video

- Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Data (Brent Spiner) wrestle with the emotional issues of family as Picard and his crew faces a chilling new adversary (Tom Hardy)! Plenty of action for the family crew of Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton and Michael Dorn. The DVD is a spectacular look at the world of Star Treks Next generation. There are several documentaries examining the creative vision of this portion of the series and commentary from the director. A refreshing look at the Star Trek world.

 

Jimmy Neutron
Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon

- The boy genuis Jimmy Neutron returns with a collection of delightful ingenious episodes. Special features include the piolt episode, full screen version and informative behind the scenes spots. Not to be missed by fans!

 

 

A Bug's Life:Collector's Edition
Disney/Pixar Home Entertainment

- One of the best animated films from the creative team at Pixar, this film chronicles the journey of self realization in the epic world of crawling insects. This 2 disc collector's edition reveals the stunning creative minds of Pixar. The bonus features include games like "A Bug's Land" and "Geri's game", two sets of hysterical outtakes, a preview of "Finding Nemo" in "Fishy Facts" and both the fullscreen and widescreen versions of the film. There are many more surprises but mostly this is a laugh out loud treat!

 


The Recruit
Touchstone Home Entertainment

- An edge-of-your-seat thriller about the recruitment and training of a brilliant grad student who discovers some tough lessons about growing up and falling in love. Newcomer Colin Farrell and veteran actor Al Pacino give stunning performances. The DVD includes both a full and widescreen version, deleted scenes with optional commentary, a feature commentary with the director and Farrell, and lastly an inside never-before-seen look at the CIA training Program.

 


Miller's Crossing
Twentieth Century Fox

- An action-packed, visually stylish gangster tale of rivalery, betrayal and criminal ambition starring Gabriel Bryne as a trusted lieutenant torn between an Irish boss (Albert Finney) and an Italian boss (Jon Polito). Marcia Gay Harden plays the tough woman who loves him and John Turturro gives an brilliant performance as gay con man. The Coen Brothers designed a brillant genre film that appears to be something else. Gangsters are dressed up as they blast their way across the screen. Coen Brothers deal with petty crime, sex and murder with a gifted cast and breathtaking portrait that has not been repeated -- not even in the Godfather films. The DVD includes cast interviews, theatrical trailer and a Barry Sonnenfeld, who was the director of photography, featurette. But where is the Coen Brothers featurette? It would be nice to hear from the filmmakers.

 

 

 


The Real World Las Vegas

- If you ever wondered why this youthful reality show is still going strong after ten years, "Real World Las Vegas" holds some of the answers. The cast of young, gorgeous desirable twentysomethings who haven't a clue what they want out of life but are willing to strut for the camera draws you in. Unlike the early days, we get to watch them hook up sexually, manipulate family and friends, and of course enjoy the good life! They are growing up in front of a live audience and it's hypnotic. There is more sexual tension than racial or cultural angst like seasons past but this only proves that Las Vegas is a fun-filled wasteland. The DVD includes episodes summaries, bonus footage, house tour and cast video profiles. You get a clue to youthful misadventures in the new century.


Barton Fink
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

- When celebrated New York playwright is called to Hollywood to write forthe pictures, he is unable to write. John Turturro is brilliant as Barton who is befriended by a salesman played by John Goodman. The Coen Brothers tackle the age-old conflict of art vs. commerce in this stylish comedy about Hollywood and ordinary man dealing with personal demons. The bonus material includes eight deleted scenes and the theatrical trailor. A must-have DVD for avid Coen Brothers fans.

 

 

The Rescuers
Disney DVD

- The epic tale of suspense, action and thrills centers on the brave mouse, Bernard and his glamorous friend Miss Bianca taking off on the wings of the albatross Orville. They're off to save Penny whom the evil Madame Medusa wants to steal the world largest diamond. this sequel. The DVD is stuffed with games, animated short "Three blind Mouseketeers," a behind-the-scenes crapbook and a wonderful sing along song. It will delights kids of all ages.
