THE 39TH NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL CONTINUES TO SOAR WITH SUCCESS;

The 39th New York Film Festival, presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and sponsored by Grand Marnier for its sixth consecutive year, will run from September 28 through October 14.

The New York Film Festival, which will celebrate its 40th year in 2002, continues its proud tradition of showing the newest and most important cinematic works by directors from around the world. The 17-day Festival is an unparalleled showcase of inspiring and provocative cinema by emerging talents and first-rank international artists whose films are often recognized as contemporary classics.
